I know. It’s still August.

There are probably people reading this in shorts. The barbecue hasn’t quite been packed away. And somewhere, somebody is insisting we’ve still got weeks of summer left.

But I’ve started thinking about autumn.

Partly because I love it. Partly because, as someone who spends an unreasonable amount of time looking at colour, autumn is difficult to beat.

The Autumn Colour Palette moves through six colours inspired by the season: Sunset Glow, Maple Gold, Pumpkin Spice, Bonfire Flame, Dahlia Crimson and Conker Brown.

It starts with those warm golden evenings when summer hasn’t completely disappeared, then heads through crisp leaves, pumpkins, bonfires, late-season flowers and finally that unmistakable glossy brown of a conker.

Basically, September to November in six swatches.

And I love how they work together. The whole gradient has that rich, earthy warmth that suddenly starts appearing everywhere at this time of year, from the trees and parks to clothes, interiors and the inevitable return of the big coat.
