Christmas is approaching, and I’ve been getting in touch with our museum and gallery partners across the UK to see how their Colour Palette ranges are selling and whether they need any additional stock for the festive season.

It’s always a pleasure hearing from the people who sell our products. Many have been with us for several years, placing repeat orders for mugs, coasters, tote bags and other gifts celebrating their towns and cities.

And we’re always looking for new places to work with.

Colourful Christmas gifts with a local connection

If you’ve visited the Millennium Gallery in Sheffield (above), RAMM in Exeter, the Museum of Liverpool or Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, you may have spotted our Colour Palette gifts in their shops.

You’ll also find our designs at the King Richard III Visitor Centre in Leicester, The New Art Gallery Walsall and a growing number of other cultural attractions.

Seeing our little Birmingham business represented in these wonderful places is something I never take for granted.

Each Colour Palette celebrates a location through six carefully chosen colours, inspired by everything from famous landmarks and local history to food, culture and the things people remember fondly.

The result is a collection of gifts that visitors can immediately connect with.

Mugs, coasters, tote bags and plenty more

Our porcelain mugs have become a familiar sight in museum shops, alongside coasters, tote bags and our growing collection of stationery and wall art.

We’ve also introduced some lovely pencil cases, while our Colour Palette sketchbooks make useful gifts for artists, designers, students and anyone who enjoys putting pencil to paper.

With Christmas approaching, there’s plenty of opportunity to create an attractive display of colourful gifts at different price points.

And if your town or city already has a Colour Palette, we can usually get products onto your shelves very quickly.

Small orders are always welcome

I know that museum and gallery retail teams have budgets to manage, stockrooms to organise and plenty of competing demands at this time of year.

That’s why we keep our minimum order quantities low.

You can try a small selection of products, see what your visitors enjoy and order more when you need them.

Our usual wholesale turnaround is around 7–9 working days, making it straightforward to replenish stock during the Christmas shopping season.

Could we work together this Christmas?

The Colour Palette Company is a small independent design business with some big ambitions.

I’m enormously grateful to the museums, galleries and independent retailers who have supported us so far, and I’d love to introduce our designs to even more shops across the UK.

Whether you’re an existing stockist looking to top up your Christmas range or a retail manager interested in something new, please get in touch.

You can find more information about our products, wholesale arrangements and bespoke designs on our Wholesale Gifts for Museums and Gallery Shops page.

Or simply drop me an email. I’d love to hear about your shop.
