Tyne Bridge Steel – for an icon of the North East!
Town Moor Green – for where the freemen of the city are allowed to graze their cows and also host to the annual Hoppings fun fair in the last week of June, since 1882.
Bessie Surtees White – for the 16th and 17th century five storey merchants houses down near the quayside, from which Bessie eloped in 1772 with John Scott by climbing out of a first floor window. John Scott later became Lord Chancellor of England!
Castle Keep Stone – for the fortress that gave the city of Newcastle its name.
Newky Broon – Launched in 1927, the brown ale with its distinctive label was first produced in Newcastle.
